The table is in alphabetical order by first name, the way Bell Media listed the cast on Sept. 2. We update the status column after each Tuesday episode once the exit has been reported in two places.

Who is in the MasterChef Canada Season 9 cast?

Sixteen home cooks from seven provinces. Bell Media named them all on Sept. 2, 2026, three weeks before the premiere, and none of them cooks for a living in a restaurant kitchen.

The day jobs are a long way from food. There's an electrician from Winnipeg, a sommelier and a video game streamer from Vancouver, a health policy leader from Montréal and a military biathlon coach from Gander. Daily Hive's preview picked out the three Vancouver cooks: Harley Maranan, Hekate and Jason Yamasaki.

The age range is wide too. Aliyaan Amlani-Kurji is the youngest at 23, and Geraldine Russ, an education assistant from Gaw Tlagée on Haida Gwaii, is the oldest at 52.

Who has been eliminated from MasterChef Canada Season 9?

Five cooks in two episodes. Four went in the premiere, which cut the field from 16 to a Top 12, and one more left a week later.

The premiere opened with Gordon Ramsay's Beef Wellington. Bell Media's episode description had the top four plates earning White Aprons, with everyone else cooking a second dish for the remaining places. The Extra Mile named the four who missed out in an exit interview with them, and our premiere results page has the detail.

Rebecca Abbott's exit came in a rice-themed mystery box. VOCM reported it the morning after and noted she was the first Newfoundlander to reach the show's Top 12. The Episode 2 results cover what she cooked.

Where are the Season 9 home cooks from?

Ontario sent the most, and has lost the most. We counted the hometowns in the cast release against the exits so far.

All four premiere exits were from Ontario: two from Toronto, one from Ottawa and one from Hamilton. That took the province from seven cooks to three in a single night.

British Columbia is the only province with more than one cook that hasn't lost anybody. Its four make up more than a third of the 11 left, which is a bigger share than Ontario's.

Season 9 after two episodes: 16 started, 11 remain.

Who are the MasterChef Canada judges this season?

Mary Berg, Hugh Acheson and Craig Wong. Berg also hosts, and she knows the other side of the bench: she won Season 3 of this show.

Gordon Ramsay was a special guest for the premiere's Wellington challenge. Bell Media's release doesn't bill him for any other episode. The earlier champions, and what each did next, are on our list of MasterChef Canada winners.

What time is MasterChef Canada on, and where does it stream?

Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Eastern and Pacific time on CTV. The rest of the country isn't a simple hour's shift, so we checked CTV's own station schedules for the Oct. 6 episode.

Winnipeg and Regina are the surprise: the show runs late in the evening there, three hours after the Toronto clock time. Station schedules can change, so look at your local CTV listing on the day.

Crave carries each episode the day after it airs. The CTV.ca player and the CTV app closed on April 30, 2026, so Crave is the streaming route with or without a TV provider login. Our guide to watching Canadian reality TV covers the plans, and the Season 9 premiere guide has the background on the season.

How many episodes are left, and what does the winner get?

The season is 11 episodes, so nine remain after the first two. The winner takes $100,000 and the MasterChef Canada title.

CTV hasn't published a finale date. Eleven weekly Tuesdays from Sept. 22 would end on Dec. 1, but that's our arithmetic and not an announcement, and a single pre-emption would move it.

For the rest of the week's competition shows, see the Canadian reality schedule for Oct. 5 to 11. The Monday show on the same network has its own tracker: who's out of The Traitors Canada. Other fall start dates are on the premiere dates page, and everything we've written on this show sits under MasterChef Canada. Our sister site explains what else a Crave subscription includes.
